BOYNE CITY – Boyne City’s Lydia Krauss has had success in high school wrestling, including a second place finish two years ago in the girls wrestling state tournament.
She also has wrestled nationally this summer.
In the Midwest Ironman Duals in South Dakota, Krauss went 3-2 helping her team to finish in third place.
It was a fun experience for Krauss, who finished fourth in states last year.
As she prepares to enter her junior year, she hopes to help the sport grow.
“Once I started learning how to actually wrestle and I was starting to get good, I love it,” said Krauss. “And I just want to keep learning more and getting better. I want to go to the top and help out other girls achieve their dreams with wrestling, too.”
She has set goals to win states for her next two years.
