Mesick Illuminates Football Field to Honor 2020 Seniors

MESICK – Mesick Public Schools honored its senior class of 2020 Friday evening by lighting up its football field.

At 8:20 p.m., or 20:20 military time, the lights at Mesick’s football stadium were illuminated for 20 minutes to show support for Mesick’s senior class that was unable to finish out the school year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“For now, we just want to make sure they get some of that recognition they deserve for all their hard work,” Mesick High School principal Scott Morey said. “They have worked really hard to get to this point.”

The school plans to come up with other ways to celebrate the class of 2020 in the near future.
