MANISTEE – The Manistee girls basketball team opened its season with a 50-38 non-league win over visiting Mason County Central on Monday.
The Chippewas (1-0) led 11-10 after the opening quarter and 25-15 at the half.
Manistee returns to action Thursday, hosting Frankfort, while Mason County Central (0-1) welcomes in Whitehall Friday.
