Farwell Holds Off Evart in Season Opener

EVART – The Farwell girls basketball team opened its 2016-17 season with a 42-33 win over Evart on Tuesday.

Tied at 7-7 after the first quarter, Farwell (1-0) took a 24-19 lead at the break.

Lillian Albaugh led the Eagles with 13 points. 

Evart (0-1) next hosts Forest Area on Thursday, while Farwell travels to Sanford Meridian Friday.
