BIG RAPIDS – Reggie Bell’s four touchdowns led Ferris State to a 45-23 victory over Northern Michigan on Saturday at home.
The Bulldogs had 436 rushing yards and didn’t allow a touchdown until the fourth quarter.
“First quarter, we only had one possession. I’m like dang, you know, I mean are we ever going to get the ball back?” Ferris State head coach Tony Annese said. “So you know, we kept the ball in front of us and we didn’t give them extraordinarily a big number of plays, so that was key.”
“They threw a lot of us that first drive. They really changed it up when we thought they weren’t going to really run as much,” Ferris State sophomore Zach Sieler said. “But I think we responded great. We didn’t get scared or anything and held them down.”
Ferris State continues its home schedule next week against Lake Erie at 1 p.m.
