Coaches’ Profile: Gladwin’s Jerry Smalley

GLADWIN – In the midst of a 10-plus match shutout streak, the Gladwin boys soccer program has its sights set on returning to the state semifinals for the second straight year.

Ranked 11th in Division 3, the Flying G’s (19-1) have recorded 14 shutouts this fall and outscored opponents 106-8, falling only to No. 14 Freeland (2-1) back on Aug. 27.

With its stout defense, Gladwin faces Roscommon on Wednesday in the Northern Michigan Soccer League crossover tournament final.
