SAULT STE. MARIE – Lake Superior State defeated Michigan State, 7-3, to complete the series sweep over the Spartans.
The Lakers scored four goals in the first period to boost them to their victory, including two goals by Gus Correale.
Lake Superior State plays on the road next weekend against Alabama-Huntsville.
