Petoskey, TC West Secure Big North Draw

TRAVERSE CITY – The Petoskey girls soccer team opened its 2016 season with a 1-1 draw against Big North Conference foe Traverse City West on Tuesday.

After a scoreless opening half, Petoskey’s Brooke Redes found the back of the net in the opening minutes of the second.

The Titans (0-1-2) would respond less than 10 minutes later as Maddie Medler banked in the rebound off Emily Murphy’s penalty kick attempt.

Petoskey welcomes in Ogemaw Heights on Thursday, West returns to action next Tuesday at Gaylord.
