Rocket Companies: Q2 Earnings Snapshot

DETROIT (AP) _ Rocket Companies, Inc. (RKT) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $61.1 million.

On a per-share basis, the Detroit-based company said it had net income of 40 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 46 cents per share.

The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 46 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $2.67 billion in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.77 billion.

Rocket Companies shares have decreased 14% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $17.47, a decrease of 13% in the last 12 months.
