NEW EVENT: Tuesday, Jan. 26 Winter storm expected to cause disruption across the Midwest – Winter storm expected to cause disruption across the Midwest, with the National Weather Service forecasting at least four inches (10 centimeters) of snow across most of an area stretching from central Kansas to Chicago and southern Michigan, with some parts of Nebraska and Iowa likely to see up to 15 inches (38 centimeters) of snow, which would be the first time in at least 15 years that the area has received such a downfall in a single storm. Flights have been canceled and delayed across the region, and the disruption also caused the early closure of several coronavirus (COVID-19) testing sites in Nebraska and Iowa.
