Masco: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

LIVONIA, Mich. (AP) _ Masco Corp. (MAS) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $195 million.

The Livonia, Michigan-based company said it had net income of 74 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 75 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 74 cents per share.

The maker of Behr paint, Delta faucets and other building products posted revenue of $1.86 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.81 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $1.22 billion, or $4.59 per share. Revenue was reported as $7.19 billion.

Masco expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.25 to $3.45 per share.

Masco shares have risen slightly more than 4% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has climbed 4%.
