Here is the latest Michigan sports news from The Associated Press

DETROIT (AP) — Andre Drummond had 23 points and 16 rebounds, and the Detroit Pistons cruised to a 113-102 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Blake Griffin added 21 points and 12 rebounds for Detroit, and Reggie Bullock scored 21 points. The Pistons led 66-46 at halftime, and the game was never close after that. The Cavaliers are now an NBA-worst 2-13 heading into their reunion with LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers play at Cleveland on Wednesday night.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Xavier Hill-Mais tied a career-high 30 points and made all 12 field-goal attempts to help Oakland beat Division III-member Defiance 91-47. The only blemish on Hill-Mais’ shooting night was a missed free throw in four attempts.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Kerryon Johnson went down with a knee injury in the second half of Detroit’s win over Carolina, and although the Lions snapped a three-game losing streak, they face a daunting task over the next couple of weeks. Detroit’s next two games are at home but against first-place teams _ and the Lions might be without Johnson, the rookie running back who has been a bright spot this year.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Michigan running back Karan Higdon has predicted a win over Ohio State on Saturday. The senior captain was responding to a question about whether he would follow in the footsteps of coach Jim Harbaugh in guaranteeing a victory. Harbaugh famously guaranteed a win over Ohio State as a player in 1986, then backed it up by leading the Wolverines to a 26-24 win.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Coach Jim Harbaugh won’t say if he expects standout defensive end Chase Winovich to play for No. 4 Michigan at No. 10 Ohio State on Saturday. Winovich appeared to hurt his left shoulder Saturday against Indiana. He left the game in the third quarter and did not return.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) — Geo Baker had 20 points and Rutgers held Eastern Michigan to an NCAA-record low four first-half points in a 63-36 rout. Rutgers (3-1) tied an NCAA Division I record for points allowed in a half as it built a 31-4 halftime lead.
