It offers five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and access to the gated community’s pool and tennis courts. There also is a three-car garage, jetted tub with sauna and multiple decks.

DETROIT (AP) — Even as auto sales start to ebb in the U.S., China and elsewhere, General Motors posted a strong third-quarter profit, blowing past Wall Street expectations on rising prices in North America and surprising resilience in China. The automaker reported a $2.5 billion third-quarter net profit Wednesday, or $1.75 per share.

DETROIT (AP) — Jurors have resumed deliberations in the murder trial of a former Michigan state trooper after letting a judge know they don’t believe they can reach a verdict. Deliberations continued Wednesday in the case against Mark Bessner, who shot Damon Grimes in Detroit with a Taser from a moving patrol car in August 2017. Grimes crashed the all-terrain vehicle he was driving into a pickup truck and died.

DETROIT (AP) — A Miami-based foundation is giving a $20 million boost to Detroit’s top arts institutions and its smaller arts groups. The Knight Foundation announced Wednesday the grants include about $8 million to support innovation at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Sphinx Organization, Michigan Opera Theatre and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. Ten mid-sized arts organizations will share in another $3.2 million, while another $6 million will go to the Knight Arts Challenge.
