Delaware Police investigate report of shots fired at mall
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Delaware State Police say they’re investigating a report of shots fired at a major Delaware mall and add they’ve no indications of anyone injured.
State Police tweeted that troopers are on the scene at Christiana Mall after they received the reports Friday evening and asked people to avoid the area.
The statement says they had no immediate information about just what happened.
One person in the mall, Bud Trabbold, told the Delaware News Journal in its report that he saw about 200 people run through a department store from the mall entrance after someone shouted there’d been shots fired.
Trabbold says, “I was scared.”
The report says many people streamed outside the mall while some remained in stores as police vehicles with lights flashing arrived.
