Xavier Hershovitz is co-host of 9&10 News’ hour-long afternoon lifestyle show ‘the four.’
He first joined the 9&10 News team in May 2019 as the reporter for the Petoskey bureau. While in Petoskey, Xavier covered stories like the latest in the ongoing Line 5 saga, the start and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 election and countless breaking news stories from the Tip of the Mitt to the far reaches of the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Xavier was awarded the 2020 Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for Best Breaking News Story for his coverage of a Sugar Island Ferry crew saving a girl that fell through the ice into the St. Mary’s River.
In November 2020, Xavier came to Cadillac to become the reporter for ‘the four’ and focus on all the good Northern Michigan has to offer. Then in December 2020, Xavier became co-host of ‘the four.’ He loves to be able to introduce Northern Michigan to incredible people, exciting places and awesome events each day.
Xavier graduated from Oakland University in April 2019 with a degree in journalism and broadcasting. He has always had a passion for journalism. When he was just a kid, he would “report live” from his front yard using a turkey baster as his microphone.
When he’s not on TV, Xavier enjoys a good streaming binge, drinks with friends and exploring new places in Northern Michigan. He’s always looking for a new place to check out!
