Taylor Morris joined the 9&10 News Team in June 2021 as a Reporter for Michigan This Morning.
She is from Marine City, Michigan, a touristy-town that sits right on the St. Clair River. Fun fact: She can see Canada from her living room back home. Taylor lived in downtown Chicago for two years, where she attended Columbia College Chicago. She eventually moved back to Metro Detroit and transferred to Wayne State University, where she studied journalism with a concentration in broadcast television and a minor in public relations.
During her time at Columbia, she worked as a Metro Reporter for The Columbia Chronicle, which was the No.1, non-daily college newspaper in the U.S at the time. While in Chicago, she covered the Winning Game 7 of the 2016 Cubs World Series, as well as the 2016 Presidential Election. She was also a scholarship recipient and accepted into Columbia’s January-term, Ireland study-abroad course. Taylor was able to travel overseas for two weeks to report on issues regarding Ireland’s abortion rights.
Once she moved back to Detroit, she interned at the Detroit Free Press and worked on their FreepNow Team, covering breaking news all over Metro Detroit. She also worked as a lifestyle reporter for SEEN Magazine.
When Taylor isn’t working, she enjoys being on the water, traveling, staying active and checking out new restaurants in Northern Michigan. She also has two cats, Winnie and Wednesday. If you have a story idea, you can email her at email@example.com, or follow her on Facebook at f.
