Issues:

Economy: “One of the reasons for our nation’s great economic prosperity is the free market system. It has allowed individuals to make choices for themselves in order to use their talents and resources to the fullest extent possible.” VanSingel believes excessive taxes and regulations limit economic growth. He believes certainty in our tax code, regulatory system and protecting private property rights will help encourage economic growth. He has not released details on how he would create certainty in those areas.

Education: “I am thankful for the education I received and the opportunities it has provided for me. This has created a passion for education.” VanSingel wants Michigan’s education policy to focus on career specific training to match the skills of students with available jobs.

Second Amendment: “I am an NRA life member and have a CPL permit.” Vansingel is a strong supporter of right to carry legislation. He has vowed to strongly protect and promote the Second Amendment.

Labor: “I believe workers have the right to choose whether or not they will belong to a union.” VanSingel supports Michigan’s Right to Work law and says he will fight any effort to repeal it.
