Regan Blissett joined the 9&10 News team in May 2018 as a news reporter. Being a reporter has been her life-long dream since she could remember and her passion is meeting new people and being a storyteller. She is from a small town called Richmond on the east side of the state and earned a degree in Multimedia Journalism at Grand Valley State University. From the east side to the west, and now to northern Michigan, she is getting the full Michigan tour and loving it.
While at GVSU Regan was a collegiate cheerleader on the coed team where she won a national championship title in 2016. During her college years she was heavily involved in the student-run TV show as an anchor on Laker News and anchored for the Michigan Association of Broadcasters award winning show West Side Stories that aired on PBS. She was also the GVSU football and basketball emcee. Regan had a variety of internship experience at WOOD-TV 8 and in Los Angeles, California at a Public Relations firm where she learned what it takes to be a well-rounded multimedia journalist. Her outgoing nature and drive for success has prepared her to be a storyteller on and off camera.
When she’s not out in the field reporting she is adventuring to find the best donuts in Michigan priding herself on being a donut connoisseur. If you know of any great donut shops or any story tips to tell her, you could reach her via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, Facebook and Twitter.
