Madison Ryke joined the Doppler 9&10 Weather Team in May of 2020.
She is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. In middle school, she was inspired by one of her teachers’ passion for science and the weather. From then on, she has been chasing her dream to become a meteorologist.
That led her to the University of Kansas, where she graduated in May 2020 with a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences and a minor in journalism.
While in school, Madison worked for her campus news stations and interned at KSNT News in Topeka, KS, and KQ2 News in St. Joseph, MO.
Madison has a passion for weather and education but she also loves learning new things. Whether it’s teaching herself to play the ukulele or learning to code, she is always cooking up something new in her free time.
