Issues:

Life: “It is up to society to encourage alternatives to abortion and discourage the killing of the unborn. I support restrictions on late term and partial birth abortions, parental notification, and the right of states determination. I also understand that abortion cannot be legislated out of existence.”

Education: “I support education decisions being made at the family, local, and state levels in that order.” Canny supports school choice options and voucher programs. He opposes federal funding for schools teaching social programs like the 1619 Project and critical race theory.

Second Amendment: “I fully support the 2nd Amendment.”

Health Care: “Government is not capable of managing and providing for our nation’s health care.” Canny wants to real the Affordable Care Act. He opposes requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, like the coronavirus pandemic.

Immigration: “With declining birth rates and aging population there is a need to increase in legal immigration. Specifically, there’s a need for highly skilled workers as well as for agricultural visa workers. I support an expedited path to permanent status for these people to be part of America. While I support increased legal immigration I believe that workers should not receive welfare benefits. These workers should be sponsored by family, employers, civic groups, etc. but should not be here at taxpayers expense. I support enforcement targeting those with final deportation orders.” Canny supports building a wall along the Mexican border, and requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship.
