Winter Weather Advisories: Most have been dropped but the exceptions are Antrim, Charlevoix, Kalkaska, Otsego, Crawford, Luce, Central and Western Chippewa County.

Peak Gusts Today: DeTour Village 63 mph, Frankfort 62 mph, Ludington 56 mph, Elberta 54 mph, Manistee 52 mph, Leland 50 mph, Pellston 49 mph, Pentwater 48 mph, Charlevoix 45 mph, Shelby 40 mph.

Tonight: Winds Calm Down – Less Lake Effect

Lake effect continues overnight with another 1-3″ likely in NW Lower with isolated higher totals possible.

The heaviest snowfall will be along the Lake Superior shoreline and over Northwestern Lower.

Winds begin to die down after midnight but you still need to watch out for drifts of snow.

Temperatures fall into the single digits and teens so wind chills drop into the single digits, above and below zero.

Tomorrow: Limited Lake Effect Snow

Lake effect lingers Tuesday but any accumulations will be minor with less than 2″ in any one spot.

It’s a cold day with highs ranging from 18 to 23 degrees.

Winds are SW/W at 5-15 mph, keeping wind chills in the single digits and teens!

Wednesday – Friday: Another System Thursday

Lake Effect wraps up Wednesday and Temperatures climb into the 20s.

On Thursday, rolls in bringing snow then a change over to mix/rain for the L.P.

This looks to be a messy day!

The storm is gone Friday under mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-30s to low 40s.

Your Weekend: Another System then Quiet

The next system rolls through Friday night and continues into Saturday morning.

The storm is gone by 2 pm Saturday. Once again it goes from snow to snow/rain.

Sunday is quiet under partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 20s to upper 30s.
