Body found in Boardman River has been identified, no foul play suspected

The body of a man found in the Boardman River in Traverse City has been identified as 61-year-old Douglas Leon Cavitch.

Police say kayakers found Cavitch’s body Saturday morning around 10 a.m.

They say he was a member of the homeless population, and his death is not being considered suspicious.
