Multiple Injuries Reported After Pileup In Chippewa County

UPDATE 3/29/23 4:00 p.m.

All lanes are now reopen on M-28. Police say the call came in just after noon on Wednesday, and six people were taken to the hospital.

3/29/23 1:20 p.m.

East and westbound lanes are closed on M-28 between I-75 and M-221 in Dafter Township.

Nine cars and one semi truck were reportedly involved in a pileup crash. Law enforcement and EMS are on the scene.

Police say white-out conditions contributed to the pileup, and multiple injuries have been reported.
