Bell’s Oberon Day Set for March 20, and It’s Free

Bell’s Brewery announced Monday that its popular Oberon Day will take place on Monday, March 20 this year, and it’s free and open to the public (21+).

The launch party for this year’s Oberon batch will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Bell’s Brewery’s Eccentric Café, 355 E. Kalamazoo Ave, Kalamazoo.

Guests can enjoy Oberon-themed food, games and live entertainment by May Erlewine & The Motivations and Great Lakes Brass. This year’s event theme is Camp Oberon.

Oberon Ale is widely considered one of Michigan’s favorite beers, and in 2022, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer issued a proclamation declaring an official statewide Oberon Day to celebrate the beer’s seasonal launch in March.

In 2021, the state of Michigan bought 14,057,074 pints of the ale, according to Bell’s.
