The Rock Youth Center in Kingsley is celebrating 13 years in the community.
A place that started as just a gathering space for kids has evolved into much more. They offer programs for seniors, music lessons for kids, and they run a closet for trauma survivors and those in need.
“We’re very humbled by the amount of support we’ve had through either financial or volunteers or service, said Diane Walton, the founder of the center, “and I’m just so glad that we’re able to do what we can do because I’ve been told that every small town needs a place like this, so that’s affirmation for me.”
The Rock celebrated their 13th year with cake for the kids, and they say they hope to have a celebration with the public soon.
