New Exhibit Coming to Sandcastles Children’s Museum in Ludington

There’s a new exhibit coming to Sandcastles Children’s Museum to help children learn a new language.

It’s called ¡Hola! Speaking Spanish at sandcastles.

Throughout the museum, there will be a series of conversation buttons where children can go up and push the button to hear a phrase and repeat the phrase.

Once a month, a native Spanish speaker will also come in for story time with the kids.

“I feel like children are little sponges at one, two, three, four and five. They’re learning so much about English as it is that picking up another language is not that hard for them. That’s the time to really introduce it,” said Kristin Korendyke, Executive Director at Sandcastles Children’s Museum.

Sandcastles Children’s Museum is able to make its new exhibit through a $5,000 grant from the Great Lakes Energy People Fund.
