Manistee Lions Club Collecting Socks for People in Need

The Manistee Lions club is looking for your help. Their sock drive is underway.

They are collecting new socks for people in need.

The socks are distributed to homeless shelters and places that have community outreach in the area.

The Manistee lions club has several sock drop-off locations, including at the wagoner community center, Manistee city hall, Manistee Catholic Central, American Legion and VFW.

“It’s all about feeling good. If you care and you donate, everything comes back to you in blessings,” said Mick Szymanski, President of the Manistee Lions Club. “There is certainly a need throughout our state. There are a lot of people that are in need. Anything that you can do is helpful.”

The Manistee Lions Club hopes to collect enough socks to help people all year, not just this winter.

The sock drive ends in April.
