We’ve all heard of Black Friday, Cyber Monday and even Small Business Saturday. But another major shopping event is on the calendar for this week.
Thursday is ‘Ladies’ Night’ in Downtown Traverse City. About 40 local businesses will be open late to help you conquer your holiday shopping lists. With restaurants and wineries also participating, it’s also a great way to have a girls’ night out.
“We have a lot of our retailers open until 9:00. It’s a time to find the perfect holiday gift that you don’t know, maybe what to get someone. There’s a variety of stores, there’s so much to offer and have that night,” says Downtown Experience Coordinator Abby Taylor. “Shop local, shop small. We have such a great downtown to be able to do everything you need for Christmas and the holidays here. So get downtown and make sure you’re supporting the businesses that work so hard to be open for you.”
The DDA says there will also be a gift wrapping station for you to get your shopping done and get those presents safely disguised before you go home.
And guys: don’t despair, there is also a Men’s Night. Get all your male bonding (and shopping) done next week Thursday, Dec. 14.
