Shoppers Search for the Best Cyber Monday Deals

Cyber Monday is the biggest online shopping day of the year, and stores in Traverse City have been spending their Cyber Monday fulfilling orders.

Catherine Richardson, the M22 general manager, says they “are seeing a ton of orders for Cyber Monday, which is great because it means that you’re supporting our stores specifically.”

These local stores are seeing customers swarm to their websites for the best deal this Cyber Monday.

M22 is offering 30% off almost everything in store.

Laruen Fox, a sale associate for The Exchange which is across the street of M22 shares that they are also planning on Cyber Monday Deals.

“We have 30% off purses and 30% off intimate and loungewear sets. And then at our sister store down the road at Flea, we also have 30% off home goods.”

Some people seem to prefer shopping online rather than spending their time going from store to store to find the perfect buy.

Beetle Noble, a student at a local college trying to save some money waited for Cyber Monday to purchase the necessities.

“I just bought some cat food. It was 5% off because of the holiday weekend,” Noble comments.  They continue saying that they were “looking for the best deal.”

Those who prefer an in-store experience are still great deals happening now.

The Exchange doesn’t participate in Cyber Monday, “but we do have our in-store sales here at The Exchange” says Fox. “We do get a lot of people that are willing to come in and shop our products because they’re uniquely selected, something that you’re not going to see in a big box store.”

Whether you score a gift for a loved one, or maybe a present for yourself, stores and websites are enjoying the crowds.
