Williamsburg Woman Charged for Assaulting Boyfriend With Gun

A Williamsburg woman was arrested after her boyfriend said she threatened him with a gun.

On Nov. 19, deputies from the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office and troopers from the MSP Cadillac post were called to a home on Elk Lake Road in Whitewater Twp.

They say the man there claimed his girlfriend, 49-year-old Robin Haveman, threatened him with a handgun during an argument and then left.

Havemen called 911 after leaving and asked to speak to police. At the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office, she admitted to having a gun and hiding it under a pillow, where deputies found it.

She was arraigned Tuesday for one count Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and one count Felony Firearm, and given a $25,000 bond. Havemen is due back in court on Dec. 13.
