Cherry Capitol Airport Talks Thanksgiving Travel

While many people hit the road for holiday travel, other’s will take to the sky.

Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City says that the Wednesday before Thanksgiving used to be their peak day for travelers this time of year.

Now, they are seeing more travelers spreading out their flights. For example, they’ve noticed that the Friday before Thanksgiving was a peak time for travelers coming in and out of the airport this year.

They hope new technology they installed will help travelers avoid security delays.

“With anything, if you have something that’s questionable ask an agent before going through screening that they can help you ensure that you’re screening process goes as fast as possible. There are a lot of people traveling and so be as comfortable as you possibly can during the travel experience that will make the traveling a little bit more easy,” …said.

They also still recommend arriving two hours ahead of your flight.
