A 911 outage is happening across the state of Michigan.

In their Facebook post, Chippewa County Central Dispatch says that some areas are being affected differently as some land lines are still working, but cell phones seem to be down. They say that their text option is still online.

This means you can text your emergency to 911 and the dispatchers will dispatch the appropriate resources to your location.

CCE Dispatch is asking that you call 231-439-3500 if you need 911 assistance and cannot reach 911.

Alpena County has also stated that their dispatch was experiencing a 911 outage, but it should be back up at this time.
