Classes at Sault Area High School were cancelled on Friday, but not because of snow.
The school was closed due to an overnight fire in the back of the building where the Career Tech Center is located.
Sault Fire responded to the fire alarm just before 2 in the morning. A small fire in the woodshop area was extinguished by in-house sprinklers.
The fire caused minimal damage but the water flooded the woodshop and leaked out into the hallway. It remains under investigation.
