UPDATE 11/9/22 9:15 a.m.
Tudor Dixon conceded defeat to Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Wednesday morning. She released the following statement:
“I called Governor Whitmer this morning to concede and wish her well.
“Michigan’s future success rests not in elected officials or government, but all of us. It is incumbent upon all of us to help our children read, support law enforcement, and grow our economy.
“Thank you to our volunteers and supporters for working so hard to forge a better Michigan. We came up short, but we will never stop fighting for our families.”

About 15 minutes after Fox News called the Michigan gubernatorial race in Gretchen Whitmer’s favor last night— Tudor Dixon addressed her supporters—saying they’re waiting until every vote is counted.
At that time — with about 30% of the votes in, Dixon was trailing Gretchen Whitmer by a few percentage points.
Tudor Dixon stood in front of her supporters and issued this statement to them:
“We don’t accept that Fox is calling this because we know this is too close to call there are so many more votes out there and we are going to get this done.” She said it will be a long night for her and her team, but they’re not done until every vote is counted.
Her supporters were also skeptical about Fox calling the race so early.
One saying: “Calling 37% of the race and they’re calling it? Fox did the same thing to President Trump in Arizona in 2020. No, we don’t believe in that. We’ll wait for the votes to be counted”
And Dixon — she’s not through with the election results yet.
