Mancelona High School is having their first ever Unlock the Runway fundraiser event on Oct. 29.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will go to their free store, The Iron Vault. The Iron Vault provides free basic needs for students such as clothing, toiletries, and food. The store has been running completely off of community donations. This fundraiser will help sustain the iron vault in the long term.
“We’re having a student organized fashion show and dinner,” says Mancelona High School teacher, Monica Malbouef. “This is to raise money for our free store for students. Our students are going to be doing the modeling, using the clothes that have been donated to our free store.”
