The United States Postal service is hoping people considering a change in careers will consider joining them.
Their operations manager says “I just know we’re having job fairs everywhere in the 496 area. We are desperate right now.”
Despite staffing challenges, the post office is still continuing their service just running on a different schedule.
Carole Singer at the office adds “COVID hit us and you know we’re down seven routes a day and we’re having to rotate what routes we can deliver”
Once these positions are filled, the community can expect to see a big change with their mail delivery schedule.
“Once we get positions filled, they will go back to getting delivery every single day on time parcels will not be delayed” comments Singer.
