It’s that time of the year again to make your donations to Toys for Tots. You will now find boxes at various businesses to bring in unwrapped toys or cash donations.
The goal of the program is to collect new toys from October through December and then distribute those toys at Christmas to kids in communities where it is needed most.
If you are interested in donating, there are several ways you can over the next couple months.
“A lot of kids don’t get Christmas and that’s what I’m here for. So that they can wake up in the morning and have a Christmas,” Melody Newell, Toys for Tots Coordinator for Osceola and Lake County, said. “There is a QR code to donate, or on Osceola Toys for Tots, that is the Facebook page.”
This will mark the programs 75th year of making sure kids have a merry Christmas.
