LSSU Sorority Teeter-Totters for Charity

A long 48 hours of teeter-tottering in downtown Sault Ste. Marie this weekend.

TeeterAlpha Kappa Chi from Lake Superior State University started the event Friday at 7:00, and ended this Sunday at 7:00.

This is the 34th year for the teeter-totter a-thon.

A dozen of the women from the sorority volunteered long parts of their weekend to help raise money for the Diane Peppler Resource Center and the Epilepsy Research Foundation.

“We know it is very important for them to have this resource for them here in the Soo,” said Alpha Kappa Chi President Emma Zabik. “We like to be able to because it’s local and it’s away to get involved in the community so it’s important to me and everyone else.”

The girls hope to raise at least $3,000. They also have a Go-Fund Me page if you would like to donate.
