Two People Arraigned for Drug Charges Following Drug Operation in Mecosta County

Two people have been arraigned on drug charges following a drug operation in Mecosta County, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office received a drug tip Wednesday, which they used to conduct a background investigation. Through the investigation, they identified Leslie Keech, 36, from Stanwood who was reportedly selling prescription narcotics.

Deputies were able to find Keech at a local businesses where she was parked. A couple of minutes later, deputies report that they saw another person, Steven Brink, 40, from Grand Haven pull up next to her. According to the sheriff’s office the deputies saw the two conduct a hand-to-hand transaction before leaving in separate directions.

Deputies were able to stop both vehicles and recover enough evidence at both locations to lead to an arrest of both the seller and the buyer.

Keech has been arraigned on delivery of opium, possession of dangerous drugs and OUID. Her bond is set at $27,500 cash/surety 10%.

Brink has been arraigned on possession of synthetic narcotics and driving with a revoked license. His bond is set at $40,000 cash/surety 10%.
