20Fathoms says the award from the MEDC will be used to help provide more space for technology start-ups, and provide connection to existing resources around the state for those businesses that are just beginning to get off the ground.

“This grant allows us to connect those early, early folks to the resources that are available, even if they’re not members of 20Fathoms,” Executive Director Eric Roberts says. “Come talk to us, we’ve now got a pretty wide-open portfolio of things that can help you.”

Starting a business can be overwhelming, but there are resources out there. “When you’re busy being the janitor and the CFO and the product guy or gal, and you’re running the company, it may be difficult to connect to those resources through MEDC. We can provide that gateway now to those resources for them,” Roberts says.20fathoms Co Working

The grant also means start-up businesses can get increased access to capital, and to specialty funding programs through the state.
