Suspect in Oceana County Home Invasion Charged with Six Felonies

Harold Lebeau was arraigned Monday on six felony charges following a manhunt in Pentwater last Friday.

Lebeau’s bond is set at $1 million.

“It shows incredible bravery, knowing he’s chasing an individual that has made comments that he’s going to go out in a police shootout. We suspected he was armed, and there was a gun recovered at the scene,” said Sheriff Kim Cole, Mason County. “I couldn’t be prouder of what he did that day.”

Lebeau was wanted for a home invasion and kidnapping in Oceana County.

“This was a perfect example of law enforcement sharing information as Oceana County did. It’s a perfect example of a citizen taking the initiative to call and say this guy doesn’t look right and fits this description,” Explained Sheriff Cole.

On Friday, there was also a deadly motorcycle accident and a deadly car accident on Sunday. Sheriff Cole says he can’t remember the last time he had this many horrific events in one weekend.

Sheriff Cole wants to thank the several law enforcement officers from different areas who have reached out to him and his team following their eventful weekend.
