Remembering Lives Lost & Giving Hope to Those Struggling on International Overdose Awareness Day
August 31 marks International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) each year.
It’s a day to remember those we’ve lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind, and renew our commitment to end overdose and related harms.
Those connected to the Northern Michigan recovery community are leading an event in Traverse City that not only commemorates those lost due to this epidemic – but also educate the Northern Michigan Community about this terrible disease.
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 31 at 6:30 PM at The Botanical Gardens at Historic Barns Park in Traverse City.
