Preparations Begin for Drew Kostic Memorial 5K Tough Run to Support Veterans

Preparations are underway for the 22-2-NONE Drew Kostic Memorial 5k Tough Run.

Kostic was a local Marine who took his own life in 2016. The purpose of the DK5K is to raise awareness and provide support in order to help combat veteran suicide. The race will be at Twisted Trails Off-Road Park in Copemish.

Runners will take on 3.1 miles filled with 24 obstacles.

“We’ve got a lot of mud. You know, we’ve got some climbing obstacles. We’ve got some carrying obstacles, some log carriers,” Ray McDaniel, President of 22-2-NONE, said. “We’ve got team obstacles where it’s going to require a team of four people to be able to complete the obstacle. And it’s going to be a nasty good time out here on Saturday.”

All the money raised will go to 22-2-NONE helping veterans with everyday needs in an effort to prevent suicide.
