Sault Ste. Marie Business Owners Host Sidewalk Sales

Sidewalk sales wrapped up Saturday afternoon in Sault Ste. Marie with an over positive response by business owners.

Sidewalk SalesThe two day event took on more of a conservative look this year with no vendors on Ashman street and all streets remaining open.

Around two dozen businesses participated with special sales and promotes outside and inside the stores.

The weather remained dry which dictates a lot on how customers take to the event.

Danna Sanderson opened up The Foundary three years ago, and looks forward to sidewalk sales.

“We haven’t had a lot of the same activities that we had in the past with bouncy houses, petting zoos, and live music,” she said. “We haven’t been able to bring it all together this year, but nonetheless, people have come down and supported us and it’s been awesome.”

The Twin Sault’s Cruiser’s Car Club also had over 100 cars on display on water street as part of Saturday’s sidewalk sales.
