In 10 days, they will have IQ window tags available that will serve as an additional way to pay the toll. It will work similar to the mac-pass tags used at the Mackinac Bridge. But don’t worry, cash, credit cards and the current proxy cards can still be used.
The IQ tag technology is becoming more and more popular in paying tolls.
“We are going to have windshield tags so it will be very similar to the process we have right now with the proxy cards except that instead of having the plastic card in your hands, you are going to have a tag on your windshield,” Emily Jacques, CFO International Bridge Authority, says.
