Businesses React to Traverse City Film Festival Opening
Tuesday was the first day of the Traverse City Film Festival.
It was put on hold for two years due to the pandemic. But now crowds are making their way through downtown, and businesses are excited that it’s back.
Espresso Bay and Mama Lu’s say that they’ve seen a lot more customers even though it’s only the first day of the festival.
“Already going off the rip going from Film Fest, just much busier than weeks prior. I would even say probably busier than Cherry Fest too,” Austin Burt, Mama Lu’s General Manager, said.
“We’ve been wanting the festival to come back for years and now that it is back it really feels like this is kind of like life is getting back to normal,” Dan Guy, Espresso Bay Owner, said.
