According to the an average of nearly 20,000 people each year are treated in hospital emergency rooms because of grill-related injuries
‘s Shanthi Appelo joined ‘the four’ LIVE to share tips for staying safe when grilling, such as grill placements, tools to use and more. The registered dietician also discussed chemicals that can form when grilling meat (HCAs and PAHs) which may increase the risk for cancer and tips on how to reduce exposure to these chemicals.
