After three years without a parade, the Cherry Royale Parade will make its way through downtown Traverse City once again Saturday afternoon.
It starts at 11:15 a.m. to kick off the final day of the 96th annual National Cherry Festival.
With about 130 entries, you’ll see royalty, marching band, clowns and much more making their way down Front Street, to Union Street to 13th Street.
This year’s theme is “Michigan lighthouses,” and the different entries really went all out this year.
“I’m looking forward to some of the entries,” said Kyle Clute, director of parades at the National Cherry Festival. “We do have some good stuff coming down the route this year, so it’ll be fun, it’ll be great to be back and I’m looking forward to seeing how big of a crowd we get because I think a lot of people are really excited to be back out and doing stuff.”
