The Coast Guard hosts the annual Open Ramp as a way to give back to the community. Lt. David Carrier with Air Station Traverse City says, “This year we’re planning to have 30 aircraft here on the ramp. Something new for this year we’re brining in probably close to 20-30 cars as well. So it will be kind of a pseudo-Fly-In event as well as a drive-in car show.”
