Inside The Kitchen at STIX in Ludington

STIX is no stranger to Ludington, it’s been around since 1954.

“Originally it was a corner bar and it became a hangout spot for all the locals, and I watched it grow and I watched it also over the past few years, kind of deteriorate,” said the owner, Andy Reimer.

So going to school in Ludington, now working in Ludington, he gave the building the attention it deserved.

“The idea was hey, we are just going to rebuild this place, freshen it up, keep it the same,” he said.

The menu in here at the restaurant is different than what you’ll find out at the beer garden.

Executive chef Ryan Wierenga says this menu is based around the smoker and food truck.

“Where we do our smoked ribs, our half chickens, our pulled pork and pulled chicken and stuff out of there,” Ryan described.

“There are seven fire pits, you have all sorts of activities, you can play with the corn hole, the connect four and bocce ball and all these games, you can play Jenga, it becomes a spot you can sit back, relax and enjoy,” Andy described.

Just a few steps away, you’ll find a third menu at park lanes.

“It’s like three different kinds of wings in there…and our STIX pizza,” said Ryan.

Looking down the lanes you’ll see historic pictures of Ludington, including the original STIX bar from the 50s.

A 10 out of 10 experience no matter how many pins you hit, and no matter which of the three parts of the restaurant you post up at.

“Hanging out, you can’t beat it, you can hang out here all day long,” said Andrew.
